Onion's soup (for 2 persons) Cost: 1.6€ / 0.8€ by person
600g of onions
20g of butter
1-2 tablespoons of flour
1/2 cube of vegetable or chicken broth
1/2 baguette ( French bread)
1 clove of garlic
salt and pepper
some nutmeg powder
Prepare the onions: cut in half and slice them in regular pieces.
Put the butter in the stove and cook the onions during 20-30 minutes, add salt, pepper, nutmeg powder and flour. Mix all.
Put this preparation in the pot with 5 cups of water and vegetable broth.
Boil slowly during 1 hour.
During this time prepare the croutons: cut the baguette and put in the toaster. And then scrape the bread with the garlic.
Serve the soup with cream fresh and toasts.
