250g of split peas

300g of bacon

1-2l of water

1 onion

1 carrot

3 potatoes

1 cube of vegetable broth

some parsley

Put the dry split peas inside the bowl with water during 4 hours.

Take away the water from the peas and prepare the vegetables: cut in little pieces.

Put inside the pot the peas, carrots, onions and water. Then cover with top and cook slowly during 1 hour.

Add the potatoes, vegetable broth, some pepper and cook during 15 minutes.

During this time, slice the bacon and cook in the stove separately.

Then mix the soup, add the bacon and serve with some parsley.
