Shin of pork with beer (for 2 persons) Cost: 6€ / 3€ by person
1 shin of pork ~1.5kg
50cl beer + 20cl water
15g butter, 1tbsp. flour
2 cloves of garlic, 2 bay leaves
3 cloves, salt, black pepper
In the big pot put the shin of pork and cover with cold water, start to warm. When water simmers, skime the water (take away the white mousse) and take out the shin, reserve in dish. Put in the duty the water and clean the pot.
Peel and slice thinly onions, garlic. Peel and slice more bigger the carrots.
Dissolve butter in the clean pot, cook for few minutes onions with garlic until they becomes golden. Add beer, salt, black pepper, cloves, bay leaves, carrots and put in this preparation the shin of pork. Put the top and cook 2 hours, turn sometimes and add a water if necessary.
Serve with streamed potatoes, chestnuts or other vegetables.
